Final Rocksolid Poster

My poster was designed to represent a heavy rock and roll band.  I tried to focus on imagery that many associate with rock and roll. I used the background as the main stage with gear set up, including the drum kit, guitar, and keyboard.  I added several layers including the skulls and flying guitar.  The skulls in red draws in attention.  I also decided to use the font for the information in red to grab the attention of the veiwer.  I used the the stone textured background behind the band name and information.  This help represent the band name of rocksolid.  This poster conveys that the music is going to be hardcore and rock related.  The lack of band members leaves a bit of intrigue to what the members may look like while performing.  It can influence the curious to see the show.  The poster is suppose to have an hard edge to represent the band.

Poster sketches

I am basing my poster on a rock band that plays heavy music.  I worked on some different fonts for band name.  I wanted a few different concepts to think over.  One being the faces of the band members, very recognizable to fans.  The next the devil horns which is a sign of rock music.  Surrounding this are others symbols representing the music, the guitar, the drums.  The third is a more simple concept that would attract many.  It is the band logo with a scantily clad woman on top of it.  Many rock bands have used sex appeal to sell their music through album covers and videos.  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Newbie

This is my first post on any type of blog.  It is interesting to say the least.  I have copied everyone's url but can't seem to connect with everyone's blog.  Anyone else having this same problem??
