Portfolio Sketches

I am developing a portfolio to display the designs I have created for this course.  I will be including a header with a logo and navigation buttons.  I want to use a cool background color that will not distract from the design work.  I was thinking of a green shade that is not too cool because my designs are darker in nature.  I will use the same color for the webpages.  I want to display my best design on the homepage and include information about myself and my creative process.  The next page would display my other designs.  If the viewer hovers over the design it will show the explanation of the design and what it was created for.
